It is with great pleasure that we announce to you that Brett has been named to the Empire United Soccer Academy Elite U-18 team.  The Academy is made up of the very best players from Western New York (Buffalo to Rochester to Syracuse and down through Binghamton and Ithaca). It has been recognized by the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) as one of the top 64 youth soccer organizations in the United States. This acceptance into the USSF Development Academy league will provide competitive matches regionally as well as the opportunity for our players to be considered for the US National team.  This is a unique opportunity for Brett to be seen by top coaches in the country as he competes at the nation’s highest level of soccer for his age.  This competition takes him and his team all over the United States including Dallas, TX in February, Carson City, CA in July and many other sites throughout the year.  The team’s debut performance was December in Cary, NC.  This program not only gives Brett exposure to top college coaches but also to national and professional coaches as well.  As Brett participates in the Empire program his training and development will be fostered by top level coaches, trainers, and organizers that work to bring him and his teammates to their peak performance levels.  While careful attention is being paid to the physical development of the players, strict attention is also paid to their academic progress as well. Two high school teachers will travel with the team to all events to ensure that all school work and material will be covered and completed.  Opportunity comes with many expenses.  It is for this reason that we are asking friends and family to assist Brett financially. All funds will be placed in an account that is strictly tracked for this purpose.
